The 1929 launched M.G. Midget Sportmans Coupe was arguably the prettiest such car of its era. It managed to combine the sporting elements of the open topped version with the comforts associated with saloon cars and therefore broadened its appeal as a result. While 530 cars were built between 1929 and 1932 just 37 of these were the later metal paneled model while the remainder were of the fabric skinned variety. Perhaps half a dozen of these delightful cars survive today with the Roger Burnett owned 1931 paneled version (GG 3949) seen the most frequently.
